Building Codes and Zoning laws/restrictions vary greatly based on your state, county and city.
Most states require that many modular buildings have state certification/stickers in order to be legally used in that state. This can vary based on the building size, use and location.
Pursuant to the ModuGo user agreement it is the responsibility of the buyer to know and understand their applicable building/zoning restrictions before buying a building on ModuGo. However, here are some helpful resources to get you started on ensuring that you are compliant with all applicable laws:
- As a proud Associate Member of the Modular Building Institute, we recommend that you check out their page on state building codes for an in depth listing of state code resources: http://www.modular.org/Links/codelist.aspx
- Search for your state with this MBI resource: http://www.modular.org/Links/BuildingCodes.aspx
- We recommend that you contact the appropriate office of your local county or city to assist you in the assessment of applicable building codes and zoning.
